This is a recent one. I found this coffee table book called something like, Magnificent Universe. It’s almost totally over-sized full-page space images. I tracked down four (4) copies. I’ve got star fields for years.
This one is a little more on the complicated side for me. There are opportunities to add more elements that I didn’t take. One of the tricky things is figuring out how to do just the right amount—to feel your way right up to—but hopefully not past—the point of diminishing returns.
Recording
This is me in Kris Sampson’s studio, Sampson Sound. In addition to being a supportive and deeply knowledgeable producer and engineer, Kris is also a great photographer.
The guitar I’m playing is a recent acquisition. I’d been wanting a hollow body, but I wasn’t looking, and yet I came across this crazily cheap Grote guitar, which I got even cheaper than this listing. And in a near-Theseus’s Paradox, by this point I’ve replaced every replaceable part of the guitar other than body, neck, and pots. That’s tuners, nut, pickup, bridge, tailpiece, knobs, and jack. I also wrapped some LED strip lights around the perimeter of the body and I have them on a foot switch. It’s fun.
