Wednesday, June 5, 2024 - Collage of the Day, Mall Update

Hey, hey. The shop has been open for a few days. I think I have 8 left. It’s been very fun. The Album Release Event on Saturday was a joy. Matt and Kyle gave beautiful performances, and it was so lovely for me to bring together two friends previously separated by time and space. I’m here every day from 3:00 until the mall closes. Come on by, unit K-02 in “bird alley” of the Asheville Mall, across from American Eagle and The Littlest Birds. Seriously!

Today’s collage: Old Time

This is an old one. It dates back to high school, after my art teacher finally relented and let me cut up her National Geographics. I made a bunch of collages. Some of them still exist. Back then and for a long time, I thought I should make my collages as large as possible. This one’s about 18”x24”. That’s too big.

Lately I’ve been making lots of collages, and my son, Mal (who has started making collages himself ❤️) asked for one of mine to hang on his wall. I pulled this one out and tacked it up in his room.
